* James Branch's experience includes 30 years in civil, transportation, and hydraulic engineering. He was employed by the Oregon State Highway Division from 1970 to 1977 performing professional and design engineering work. Since 1977, James has been a principal engineer of the firm of Branch Engineering and involved in all phases of engineering work including planning and design public improvements projects, civil site planning and design, transportation planning and design, hydraulic computer modeling, and construction engineering and management. |

* As a graduate of Oregon State University, Lane Branch has training and experience in many areas of civil and transportation engineering. Lane has performed designs of roadways, sewers, and drainage for both public and private clients. He has experience in wetlands determination. In addition, he has conducted a number of studies involving hydraulic engineering and flood modeling for open channel flow and riverine floodway studies and has conducted site investigations to evaluate soil conditions and percolation rates for storm treatment facilities, detention basins and drywells. Las has conducted numerous traffic impact studies for public and private clients and has performed geometric designs of intersections and roadways to improve capacity and operations. |
* A graduate of Oregon State University, Scott Olson, P.E. has 29 years of extensive public works management and engineering experience. After 25 years of local government service in the mid Willamette Valley He is now offering project management and civil engineering design services to a variety of private and public clients. Responsibilities have included capital improvement planning, utility and transportation system planning, private funded public improvement permitting and construction monitoring, traffic engineering and traffic control systems, pavement management systems, bridge inspection and maintenance management systems, local improvement districts, municipal airport, municipal transit system, and street lighting system, geographic information systems, public policy analysis and legislative policy development. Scott's project delivery and designs, are known to be practical, and constructable. His approach is grounded in the knowledge gained from his years in the field working as a construction inspector. |

Led by James A. Branch, P.E. and Lane Branch,
P.E., the Branch Engineering Civil Engineering Department has significant experience in civil design. The department includes two other P.E's., an E.I., two designers, and draftspersons. Our projects involve feasibility studies, conceptual planning, roadway design, infrastructure design (including sanitary sewer, drainage and waterlines), and utility and site layout for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. |
