Office Assistant


Branch Engineering Inc. (BEI) is seeking a reliable Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical and administrative tasks throughout the office. This position provides vital support to our multi-faceted team of Engineers, Designers, Surveyors, Drafters, and Technicians, and to the office manager. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, problem-solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. This person should have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks, and providing support to coworkers. The ability to multitask, operate basic office equipment, operate phone lines with professional etiquette, and work independently is essential for this position. The office assistant reports to the office manager.

The job duties of this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients
  • Answering phones
  • Sorting incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail
  • Ordering supplies
  • Preparing proposal and marketing materials
  • Facilitating office and vehicle maintenance
  • Initiating tech support requests
  • Sending invoices and taking invoice payments
  • Keeping office environment organized and presentable to clients and employees


  • Positive attitude
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Able to operate a multi-line phone system utilizing professional etiquette
  • Ability to work independently


  • $15-20 per hour, depending on experience
